Horses
Each horse within Musa Hussain’s string plays a vital role in his journey as an event rider. Carefully selected and individually developed, every horse is treated as both an athlete and a partner, with their training tailored to suit their unique temperament, strengths, and potential. This page introduces the horses Musa works with, offering insight into their backgrounds, personalities, and progress within the sport.

Wisdom of Zorro (“Zorro”)
Zorro was Musa's first horse, and one that will always mean the world to him. Musa acquired him as a nine-year-old when Musa was just fourteen — both horse and rider completely inexperienced and figuring it out together as they went. Zorro arrived with a complicated past, having only been broken in at eight, and was quirky, sharp, and often worried. Over time, Musa and Zorro built a partnership like no other. Together, they went from never having competed to reaching Intermediate and two-star long, learning every step of the way side by side. Musa tells the team: "he taught me more than any horse ever could, and the bond we had was truly one of a kind". Sadly, the team had to say goodbye to Zorro a couple of years ago following a field injury, but he will always be the horse that started it all.

Liquid Luck (“Felix”)
Liquid Luck, known at home as Felix, is a 16.2hh 10-year-old grey gelding by Berkley Cruise out of Horseshoe Fountain. He is currently Musa's top competition horse, competing at four-star level. His stable name comes from the Harry Potter potion Felix Felicis, also known as “Liquid Luck.” He has already achieved notable results, including winning the U21 2*L at Bishop Burton in 2024, placing 9th at the U21 3*L National Championships at Bicton in 2025, and being longlisted for the Young Rider Europeans in 2025. Felix is a sensitive, sharp horse who very much likes his own space, but he tries his heart out every time. When he’s onside, he gives an exceptional, genuine feeling—and he’s become not just a top horse, but Musa tells us he's one of his best friends. Looking ahead, the aim is to continue building experience at four-star level, with hopes of selection for the U25 Championships in the coming years.

Artemis Azzuri (“Cleo”)
Artemis Azzuri, known as Cleo at home, is a 16.3hh Irish mare by Baggio out of Orbisheba. She is the newest addition to the team, having joined in November 2025. After a relatively quiet winter to allow her to settle, she is now gearing up to begin her competitive career. Cleo is an exceptionally kind and people-oriented horse, with a very soft nature. She can be a little insecure and requires reassurance, but her willingness and attitude make her a pleasure to work with. Alongside this, she shows plenty of natural athletic ability, and the team have high hopes for her future.
